Lazer

Os nobres egípcios gostavam de se divertir em grande escala. Eles caçavam pássaros, crocodilos, hipopótamos e leões em grupos usando carruagens e cachorros, e até chitas domadas. Eles também inventaram a pesca para o lazer. Seus banquetes eram eventos elaborados para celebrar nascimentos, casamentos ou festivais religiosos. Eles contratavam cozinheiros, vestiam-se do melhor, bebiam grandes quantidades de vinho e eram divertidos por músicos e dançarinos.
O esporte era diversão para todos. Boxe e esgrima eram populares e novos faraós freqüentemente realizavam corridas ao redor das pirâmides.
Jogos de tabuleiro também eram extremamente populares – especialmente Senet, um jogo baseado na passagem dos mortos para o submundo.
